Assessment and progression
In this article
The Victorian Rural Rural Generalist Program trainees are required to progress toward Fellowships for their respective General Practice College. This includes meeting requirements that are articulated in the relevant College handbook. The trainee’s Fellowship training underpins the overall program training. Throughout the training pathway, trainees will also be required to undertake periodic assessment as determined by the relevant body and stage of their training.
Eligibility requirements to progress to the advanced skills training year are available in the Trainee’s Guide to the Rural Generalist Foundation Year. Different assessments are required for the advanced skills training year depending on the pathway the trainee undertakes. Assessment forms during the advanced skills training year are submitted through the clinical supervisor to the relevant College.
