VRGP Statewide Clinical Lead

The Statewide Clinical Lead provides professional leadership and clinical expertise to the Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP). The Statewide Clinical Lead will drive a culture of clinical excellence through the development of a skilled Rural Generalist workforce and leads the Statewide clinical program.
The Statewide Clinical Lead, in conjunction with the other VRGP Coordination Unit members, will provide mentorship and ongoing support to trainees and general practitioners who are interested in pursuing RG careers.
The Statewide Clinical Lead leads a team of Clinical Leads appointed within the VRGP. This includes four Clinical Leads for the key advanced skills areas (Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics/Adult Internal Medicine/Mental Health/Academic /Palliative). The Statewide Clinical Lead supports Aboriginal Health, Remote Medicine and other advanced skills as required.
